Frequently Asked Questions
Question Answer
Are Templates Copyright?

A: We do not impose copyright on any of our templates - you may use them as many times as you wish.

The only restrictions are:
(1) You may NOT resell, give away or include the template (includes the exported file) to any one else.
(2) You may not claim designer rights.

Are There 'Special Offers'

A: Yes, special offers are from time to time made available for all registered members.

These range from FREE templates, to discounted offers. Details will be published as and when available, please check back often for further information.

Can I have a navigation menu on the right hand side of the page?

A: Yes you can have a navigation menu on the right hand side of the page. Here are the instructions for achieving this:

1. Go to the Page Layout tab.
2. Select the Right Hand Column configuration box on the left hand side of the Page Layout page.
3. Click on the Designer button.
4. Position the cursor where you want the navigation menu to appear.
5. Right-click with your mouse and select "Insert Navigation Links"

When you preview your site you will notice that there is a navigation menu on the right hand side of your page consisting of each of the pages that has the "Include in Navigation Menu" checked on the Info tab.

Can I Sell A Site Using Your Templates?

A: Of course!

If you build websites for clients you are more than welcome to use a purchased template. Using a pre-bought or custom template is an excellent way to quickly develop web sites and make some additional money, if you can do this great!

All I ask is that you comply with the terms of sale - i.e. not reselling the template zip providing the export file etc (see additional FAQ question for details).

Can I Share My Account?

A: Membership of xSitePro Community as a 'Subscribing Member' is restricted to 'one' account per person. Sharing is not permitted.

Business users (were more than person creates sites for clients) may use templates downloaded as a 'Subscribing member' but only the registered 'Subscribing Member' may access the system, request 'Help Desk' support.

Please note: Our system records all access details including IP addresses, if you are found violating this condition, this will lead to your account being closed without warning.

Can't Purchase / Subscribe

A. Our system uses cookies to remember you. Sometimes, if you abandon a purchase, or decide to join as a subscribing member but then not complete the transaction. The cookie is left on your PC and the system here doesn't function as it should.

Solution: Empty your web browsers cache, then clear all of your stored cookies. Return to xSitePro Community and complete the transaction - everything should then work okay... If by any chance it doesn't, raise a support ticket via the 'Help Desk' and I will do my best to help resolve things :)

Clicking the 'Preview Button' in xSitePro, Launches my Default Web Editing Software

Q: When I click on the 'Preview Button' in xSitePro, it launches my default web editing software application, instead of the Internet Explorer? browser. Or.... it opens a dialog box asking me to open / save the file.

A: There's a simple to solution to this... You are trying to preview a page with a .php extension. All .php pages require a live server to run on (i.e. Apache) and will not therefore work if you just hit the preview / publish button. To fix the problem:

1. You can download and install an Apache web server FREE from -> http://www.apachefriends.org/en/index.html (it only takes a few minutes to set up and will even install MySql for you!)
2. Upload the site to your hosting account and view it there...
3. Delete the page or change it to .html until you are ready to upload live to the net.

Do You Have a Forum?

A: No, xSitePro Community presently does not have an online forum.

Why? Simply because I feel we should all support the excellent forum provided by Intellimon -> xSitePro Message Board Adding different forums will only cause information to be scattered in differing locations and for now it seems logical to have everything all under the same roof ;) - Easy to locate, find and use ...
